Fiscal Business Day

On Friday, 9 February, some 300 future top tax specialists came to the De Kuip football and event temple for the Fiscal Business Day 2018. The goal: to bridge the gap between practice and theory. In a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, the students had one-on-one contact with people from the business world. According to organiser, Nikola Djankov of R.F.V. Christiaanse-Taxateur, the easily accessible event was once again a great success.
De Kuip is an absolute icon. As a Feyenoord fan I already knew this, but it made me proud that the participants saw it, too. Nikola Djankov
The Fiscal Business Day has been organised in De Kuip for many years. ‘And the cooperation with the staff of De Kuip gets better every year,’ says Djankov. ‘We were also able to brainstorm a lot prior to this edition. They were very honest during the various one-on-one contact moments in the preparation’. These consultation moments led to an extensive programme for the participants of the Fiscal Business Day.

Thinking big

The students were offered a diverse programme in the various rooms of the stadium. In the morning, the students had the opportunity to have individual talks with leading firms in one of the many Business Units or to follow a plenary session in the Puck van Heel room. At the end of the morning programme there was a three-course lunch in the Van Zandvliet room, where there were 30 elegantly set tables. In the afternoon, there were fiscal talent workshops spread out over seven rooms, after which they concluded the educational day with a recruitment drinks party.

Iconic

Organiser Djankov looks back on the day with satisfaction. ‘The students and companies who were guests at the event were impressed’. The stadium had an important role in this. De Kuip is impressive, has its own personality and, of course, a beautiful history. Many participating companies who came from the Amsterdam Zuidas business district were a bit amused about the location beforehand, but afterwards they secretly loved it. De Kuip is and remains an icon. As a Feyenoord fan I already knew this, but it made me proud that the participants saw it too’.
